This Privacy Policy explains how HAZY.chat collects and processes information from users of hazy.chat and related services that link to this Policy.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. Terms that are not defined in this Policy have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and information received from service providers or connected accounts.

Depending on how you use HAZY.chat, this information may include:

  • account details such as name, email address, login provider, profile image, and user ID;
  • messages, prompts, character settings, uploaded images, favorites, memories, and other content you submit;
  • credit balances, transaction records, checkout identifiers, payment status, and fraud-prevention signals;
  • device, browser, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, referral URLs, and interaction events;
  • communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, personalize, secure, debug, and improve the Services. This includes authentication, conversation features, character discovery, credit charging, payment confirmation, customer support, analytics, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

We may process prompts, messages, and generated outputs to operate AI chat features, measure quality, investigate failures, enforce these Terms, and improve safety and product behavior.

3. Cookies and analytics

We and our providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, detect abuse, and understand service performance.

HAZY.chat may use Google Analytics or similar analytics tools. Browser settings and provider opt-out tools may let you limit some tracking, but disabling cookies can break account and payment features.

4. Disclosure of information

We disclose information only when needed for service operation, user-directed sharing, safety, legal compliance, or business administration.

Recipients may include hosting, database, authentication, AI model, storage, analytics, payment, security, email, legal, and customer support providers. Public characters or content you choose to publish may be visible to other users.

5. Payments

Credit purchases are handled with third-party payment infrastructure, including Infini. We receive payment status and order identifiers needed to credit your account, reconcile transactions, detect fraud, and respond to support requests.

We do not intentionally collect or store full payment credentials on HAZY.chat servers.

6. Your choices and rights

You may update certain account details through the Services and may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection where applicable law provides those rights.

Some information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, transaction records, or continued operation of public content you made available to others.

7. Account deletion and retention

Account deletion is intended to be permanent. Deleting an account may remove access to conversations, favorites, credits, memories, transaction history, and created characters associated with that account.

We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, then delete, aggregate, or de-identify it unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so you should keep your credentials private and tell us about suspected account misuse.

9. Minors

The Services are not for anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account or submitted personal information, we may close the account and delete the information as required by law.

10. International processing

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Privacy laws in those places may differ from the laws where you live.

11. Regional privacy disclosures

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or similar privacy laws. These may include rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object, appeal, or opt out of certain processing.

We do not knowingly sell personal information of users under 18. Where targeted advertising or analytics sharing laws apply, you may use browser, device, or provider tools to limit eligible processing.
